Glenn writes: “Me and Chris at the Windsor Free Festival in 1973. We’d taken lorryloads of acid by the time this photograph was taken! We went on after a bunch of Hare Krishna people who said they had to go onstage first because their message was more important than ours.”
Organiser Bill Dwyer, quoted in the Windsor Express: “The festival is not political... it is a revolution... we want a new society... we want to replace, as a beginning, the family with the commune... We want to stop all rent paying. It is a feudal relic from the time of William the Conqueror. We want to widen the circle of human love.”
